Typhoon Dolphin strikes southern Japan

On Saturday, Typhoon Dolphin battered Japan's southern prefecture of Okinawa, leaving six people injured and knocking out electricity to over 50,000 properties. Around 39,000 homes and businesses lost power in Kagoshima, while more than 12,000 were impacted in Okinawa. The storm carried maximum sustained winds of 162 kph (90 mph), with peak gusts hitting 216 kph.
