Two years after RG Kar tragedy, WB state hospitals hold 2-minute silence for Abhaya
State-run hospitals throughout West Bengal held a two-minute silence between 11:00 am and 11:02 am to honor the memory of the postgraduate trainee doctor, Abhaya, who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Hospital on August 9, 2024. Health Minister Dr. Sharadwat Mukherjee also participated in the tribute. Reflecting on the loss, Abhaya’s father stated, "As long as we live, we'll go through this pain...won't get her back."
