Two tankers carrying 4 million barrels of Saudi oil attacked in Strait of Hormuz

A pair of supertankers transporting Saudi Arabian oil were targeted by bombs just minutes apart as they passed through the Strait of Hormuz. Both vessels had taken on 2 million barrels of Saudi crude oil each at the Juaymah terminal during the previous week. Attempts to clear and reopen the waterway, which accounted for nearly one-fifth of the world's oil shipments prior to the conflict in the Middle East, have not yet succeeded.
