Trump invested in tech shares ahead of initial tariff freeze
According to a CNBC report based on financial disclosures, US President Donald Trump purchased stocks during a market downturn triggered by the "Liberation Day" tariffs he introduced last April. On April 8, one day prior to declaring a 90-day suspension of those tariffs, Trump executed 327 stock trades. His acquisitions included shares of Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Nvidia, and Alphabet, all of which saw a recovery in value afterward.
