Trump excludes Pakistan from list of nations mediating between US and Iran
Unlike in the past, US President Donald Trump did not include Pakistan when mentioning the countries helping facilitate discussions between the US and Iran. Trump stated, "We're talking at the request of Iran, backed by Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar," omitting any mention of Pakistan. Meanwhile, retired US General Jack Keane claimed that Pakistan is a "compromised" mediator, alleging that the country supports Iran "at the expense of the US."
