TikTok reaches settlement with teen in social media addiction case
TikTok has reached an agreement to settle a legal case brought by a teenager from Florida. The teen had sued the company, alongside several other social media giants, claiming that their platforms negatively impacted his mental well-being. The legal action targeted four specific services: YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. Previously, YouTube also settled the lawsuit, which alleges that these companies intentionally engineered their platforms to foster addictive behavior.
