Tibetan activists begin hunger strike in Dharamshala to protest China's new law
On Sunday, the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) initiated a global demonstration in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, to oppose China's recently introduced 'Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law'. The movement kicked off with a 24-hour chain hunger strike, held in honor of Tibetan activist Lobga Rangzen. The legislation potentially grants Beijing the authority to take action against individuals it labels as separatists, even when they are located beyond Chinese borders.
