Three women saved by SDRF from Mandakini River in Uttarakhand
In Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully rescued three women who became stuck in the Mandakini River following a rapid rise in water levels. The women had gone into the riverbed to gather floating wood when the water surged, leaving them trapped on a small patch of land. To reach them, Constable Prem Singh waded across the river and constructed a makeshift bridge.
