The origin story of the Ramsar Sahib gurdwara near Doraha
Although the Ramsar Sahib in Amritsar is linked to Guru Arjan Dev and the creation of the Adi Guru Granth Sahib, there is a second Ramsar Sahib situated in Bilaspur village, close to Doraha, Punjab. This gurdwara surrounds a sacred pond that is said to have been formed following a visit by Guru Hargobind in 1630. According to residents, the pond was named in honor of the Ramsar Sarovar in Amritsar and has remained full of water throughout its history.
