Teenager slips into 20-foot borewell in UP while celebrating Raksha Bandhan
On Friday, a 16-year-old girl plunged into an open, 20-foot-deep borewell at her residence in Purwamir village, located about 35 km away from Kanpur. The incident occurred as she was getting ready to tie a rakhi on her brother. Rescue teams from the NDRF and SDRF are currently on-site and have dug down approximately 12 feet. Relatives believe that heavy rains may have caused the soil surrounding the unused borewell to become unstable.
