Teen flood survivor creates AI-based dam management system
Novain Shibu, a 17-year-old from Thrissur, Kerala, has created an AI-driven edge network prototype designed to assist with dam operations during extreme weather events like floods. His project, known as AcoustiNode Systems, earned a spot in the Top 40 of a CSR initiative organized by Samsung. Novain’s focus on dam and flood technology was sparked by his personal experience during the severe 2018 floods in his local area.
