TCS reports largest quarterly hiring surge in over a year with 9,200+ new staff

TCS, India’s top IT services firm, increased its net headcount by 9,279 during the June quarter (Q1 of FY2026-27), representing its most significant hiring growth in more than 12 months. This expansion arrives amid widespread global tech layoffs driven by AI, which have already impacted more than 1,19,000 employees this year. The company’s total staff count has now reached 5,93,798.
