Tata Sons gives green light for ₹10,000 crore Air India funding: Report

According to a TOI report, the board of Tata Sons has approved a new capital injection exceeding ₹10,000 crore for Air India. Moving forward, Air India and other companies receiving investments will be required to submit a business case to secure funding. This move follows a period of over a year where Tata Sons had reportedly halted equity investments into the carrier, which saw its losses for FY26 jump by more than double to reach ₹22,238 crore.
