Bengal Government Forms Committee Led by Justice Ranjana Desai to Implement Uniform Civil Code

The Bengal government has formed a committee, headed by former Supreme Court judge Ranjana Desai, to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). CM Suvendu Adhikari announced in the Assembly that the panel will submit a preliminary report within four weeks. The committee will provide recommendations on seven key areas, including the regulation of live-in relationships.
