TakeMe2Space's PowerBank-50 is first Indian satellite battery to get 'flight heritage'

The PowerBank-50, developed by Hyderabad-based TakeMe2Space, has become the first Indian-made satellite battery to achieve flight heritage. It reached this milestone by powering an experimental payload for Cosmoserve Space on Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1. The 380-gram battery functioned successfully at an altitude of 450km, enduring launch vibrations, vacuum, radiation, and extreme temperature shifts. Praising the achievement, Nirmala Sitharaman posted on X, "Brilliant."
