Taiwanese TV personality detained for spilling oil on Japanese National Treasure
Authorities in Japan have taken into custody Tsai Yi-chen, a woman from Taiwan who identifies as a TV host, following accusations that she poured liquid onto the Bussokuseki. This ancient stone relic, located at Nara's Yakushiji Temple, is classified as a National Treasure. Testing revealed that the residue on the artifact was glycerin. Tsai has reportedly confessed to the incident, explaining, "When I'm deeply moved by something, I pour oil on it and pray."
