Swedish court rules Google must pay nearly $2 billion in antitrust case
A court in Sweden has directed Google to compensate the price-comparison site Klarna with $2 billion following an antitrust legal battle. The case alleged that Google leveraged its market dominance to unfairly prioritize its own services. Although the judge rejected the majority of Klarna’s $8.2 billion demand, they highlighted that this remains the highest payout ever mandated in a Swedish competition lawsuit.
