Supreme Court to hear petition for community service instead of FIRs for students protesting NEET-UG

A petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court asking that students who used abusive language while protesting the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak be given at least seven days of community service instead. The petitioner argued against filing FIRs against these students, stating that such action would only increase social hostility. The Supreme Court has consented to take up the matter.
