Supreme Court rejects plea to revoke Lalu Yadav's bail in fodder scam
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court turned down a request to cancel the bail previously given to Lalu Prasad Yadav regarding the fodder scam. Additionally, the court instructed the Jharkhand High Court to speed up the process and reach a verdict on Yadav's ongoing criminal appeal within a six-month timeframe. Previously, a CBI court had found Yadav guilty and handed him a three-and-a-half-year jail term under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
