Supreme Court helps Shaurya Chakra recipient's widow receive pension after 26 years

Following a 26-year legal struggle, the widow of Shaurya Chakra winner Mohan Singh has finally been granted her Special Family Pension, thanks to the Supreme Court's involvement. The court also ordered an extra payment of ₹10 lakh, noting the "supreme sacrifice" made by Singh. He was posthumously honored with the Shaurya Chakra for dying while rescuing workers trapped under rubble.
