Supreme Court grants Rajpal Yadav relief from surrender on ₹5 crore deposit in cheque bounce case

The Supreme Court has directed actor Rajpal Yadav to pay ₹5 crore by Wednesday if he wishes to avoid surrendering to serve his jail term in a ₹9-crore cheque bounce matter. Previously, the Delhi High Court had handed him a three-month sentence for each case, which were to be served at the same time. Rajpal had earlier stated that he would rather go to prison five times than pay a single rupee.
