Supreme Court directs UP to add forensic auditor to Ram Temple donation probe team
On Monday, the Supreme Court ordered the Uttar Pradesh government to appoint an independent forensic auditor to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) currently looking into claims of misappropriated funds for the Ayodhya Ram Temple. Representing the state, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the court that IPS officer Kiran S will lead the SIT. A bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant also requested a progress report on the ongoing investigation.
