The Supreme Court has turned down a request for an urgent hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against BJP Minority Morcha member Nazia Elahi Khan concerning her supposed "derogatory" statements about Prophet Muhammad. The court remarked that while the issue is serious, it should not be sensationalized. The bench stated that if an individual has committed an error, the law should be applied against them completely. The court directed the petitioner to first take the matter to the police.
