The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) officially opened the long-anticipated Sungal Tunnel on the Jammu-Poonch route this Saturday. Spanning 2.79 km, this tunnel provides a bypass for a challenging section of the current road, which is projected to reduce travel distance by approximately 11 to 13 km. At this stage, access to the Sungal tunnel is restricted to light vehicles only.
