Succession rules for a Hindu woman's estate without a will

When a Hindu woman dies intestate, or without leaving a will, her property distribution is governed by the Hindu Succession Act, 1956. Under these legal provisions, her husband, sons, and daughters hold the primary right to inherit her assets. In the event that none of these immediate family members survive her, the property is distributed in equal shares among her husband's surviving siblings.
