Subhash Chandra under CBI scanner for allegedly misstating net worth to secure LIC loans

The CBI has initiated a case against Subhash Chandra, accusing him of overstating his financial standing to obtain loans totaling hundreds of crores from LIC Housing Finance. In 2018, Chandra reported his net worth at ₹59,113 crore, a figure he later revised to ₹40,000 crore. According to LICHFL, Chandra subsequently stated that his net worth had plummeted to ₹31.79 crore by 2024.
