Student's homemade autonomous car hits police vehicle in Islamabad

Ehsan Zafar, a computer engineering student, saw his remote-operated 'self-driving' vehicle collide with a stationary police car at D-Chowk in Islamabad. The accident occurred after a connectivity issue led to a loss of control. Zafar, who has been developing the car since 2018, acknowledged that he also entered an incorrect command. Law enforcement officials did not find any wrongdoing, describing the student as a national asset.
