Strait of Hormuz sees third tanker attack in one day, defying US-Iran deal
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a tanker sustained structural damage after being hit by unknown projectiles while passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. This incident marks the third such attack in just 24 hours, following previous strikes on a Saudi-flagged crude oil tanker and a Qatari LNG carrier. These events have occurred notwithstanding a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the US and Iran last month.
