Sri Lanka Cricket to lose ₹188 crore after Women's Champions Trophy shifted to India
Sri Lanka Cricket is expected to suffer a financial hit of approximately $20 million (₹188 crore) following the ICC's decision to relocate the first-ever Women’s Champions Trophy 2027 from Sri Lanka to India. This projected shortfall covers potential earnings from event hosting, such as ticket sales, sponsorships, hospitality packages, and various commercial ventures. The tournament, featuring six teams, is scheduled to take place in Mumbai and Vadodara between February 14 and February 28.
