SpiceJet requests extension for ₹50 crore payment to Kalanithi Maran
On Monday, the financially struggling airline SpiceJet asked the Delhi High Court for additional time to pay the initial ₹50 crore installment of the ₹144.5 crore debt owed to KAL Airways and Kalanithi Maran. The carrier explained that it utilized the first portion of government emergency credit, received in June, to maintain daily operations. SpiceJet is currently waiting for a second installment of ₹349 crore to fulfill its outstanding financial commitments.
