Spain's PM: Adherence to European treaties is mandatory amid migrant surge
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez condemned the arrival of illegal migrants in Europe, stating, "Solidarity and empathy are optional, respect for European treaties is not." He noted that between 2021 and 2026, Europe saw 478,600 illegal entries through Italy, 340,600 via the Western Balkans, and 259,800 through Greece. These remarks follow a recent influx of thousands of illegal migrants into Spain from Morocco.
