SpaceX launches first commercial satellite powered by nuclear energy

On Tuesday, SpaceX successfully sent the world's inaugural commercially manufactured nuclear-powered satellite into orbit. Named BOHR (Betavoltaic Orbital High-Reliability), the satellite was created by City Labs and launched via a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This mission serves as a test run to evaluate the performance of City Labs' unique NanoTritium betavoltaic micropower technology in a space environment for the first time.
