SpaceX and NVIDIA to launch compact AI supercomputer next year
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, revealed that the firm has developed an AI system tailored for space that is scheduled to reach orbit by Q4 of next year. Known as the Vera Rubin NVL72, this high-end rack-scale AI supercomputer combines 36 Vera CPUs with 72 Rubin GPUs. Musk noted that their configuration is much lighter, more compact, and more affordable than standard racks, while also being less complex.
