Sovereign Gold Bond investors set for gains of up to 197% on early exit

The Reserve Bank of India has set the early redemption rates for two Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) tranches. The price is fixed at ₹14,158 per unit for the 2020-21 Series X, maturing this Saturday, and the 2021-22 Series IV, maturing this Monday. Those holding Series X bonds are looking at returns reaching 180% above the original issue price, while Series IV investors could see gains as high as 197%.
