SIAM retracts communication regarding fuel quality issues
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) had expressed worries about the quality of fuel, suggesting that impurities might lead to complications with vehicle parts such as fuel injectors, pumps, and EGR valves. However, the industry group subsequently pulled back the letter it had submitted to the petroleum ministry, noting that certain information needed more thorough checking. They further stated that safety instructions concerning ethanol blending had already been provided.
