SIAM reports surge in vehicle part failures due to E20 fuel quality issues
According to a CNBC-TV18 report, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has reached out to the Petroleum Ministry regarding concerns over high levels of moisture and chloride found in E20 fuel. The organization noted a significant rise in the need to replace automotive components that interact with the fuel. In response to these concerns, the Central government has directed Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to enhance quality checks at fuel stations.
