Shiva Rajkumar issues apology over national language comment

Kannada film star Shiva Rajkumar faced backlash after referring to Hindi as the national language. He later clarified his stance, saying, "I called Hindi the national language. It is one of the languages. Our language [Kannada] is always important to us...I apologise." Previously, the actor had remarked, "Hindi is my second language....It is...the national language. How would we not know it?"
