Senior citizen, 71, petitions for 1% MBBS admission quota
Ashok Bahar, a 71-year-old NEET candidate, has filed a petition with the Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench, requesting a 1% reservation for senior citizens in MBBS programs. He questioned the exclusion of older adults from reservation benefits while other groups are provided with them. Ashok, whose family includes almost 20 medical professionals, took the NEET UG 2026 examination earlier this year.
