SEBI streamlines mutual fund registration, consolidates forms into one

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has made the mutual fund registration procedure easier by cutting down the number of forms to just one. Previously, the process was split into two phases, where applicants had to submit Form A for in-principle approval and Forms C and D for the final registration. With the new rules, these documents have been combined into a single application, where Form A will now collect all necessary details regarding the sponsor and ownership structure.
