SC tells Tamil Nadu that Karnataka is releasing water amid Cauvery dispute
During the hearing on the Cauvery river issue, the Supreme Court informed Tamil Nadu that it is not the case that Karnataka is withholding water. The apex court instructed Karnataka to strictly follow the orders issued by the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) regarding the release of water to Tamil Nadu. The court further stated, "Let this matter be posted after a week so that further status regarding...release of water can be reported."
