Saurav Das demands Bar Council chief's removal; Mahua Moitra labels him 'mental case'
Following the Bar Council of India's temporary suspension of NALSAR 2026 graduates from enrolling as advocates, Saurav Das of CJP stated that the council's chairperson, Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra, "needs to go." Das challenged Mishra to "reveal" his law credentials and questioned why he has occupied the position "since 2012." In response to Das, TMC MP Mahua Moitra described Mishra as a "mental case."
