Russia permits low-quality petrol to combat fuel shortage
To address a widespread fuel shortage, Russia has given the green light for the temporary manufacturing, import, and distribution of low-grade gasoline that had been prohibited for over ten years. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the primary ways to bridge the supply gap involve importing and producing K-2, K-3, and K-4 grade fuels. Recently, Russia began sourcing petrol supplies from India.
