Russia begins importing Indian petrol, report says
According to a Bloomberg report, Russia has taken delivery of its initial shipment of petrol from Nayara Energy, a company with ties to Reliance. The Russian-flagged vessel Cyclone, which took on 42,000 tons of fuel at the Vadinar refinery in Gujarat during mid-June and utilized shadow tankers near Egypt, arrived in Russia on August 5. This development occurs as Russia, a primary crude oil supplier to India, deals with domestic fuel shortages following Ukrainian strikes on its oil refineries.
