Following the row over reported donation misappropriation at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera alleged that the Sangh Parivar is determined to keep its grip on the Temple Trust. Khera questioned, "The PMO and the Sangh have been directly overseeing this temple project from the start... shouldn't the accountability rest with PM Modi and Mohan Bhagwat?" He further asserted that "Hindus face the greatest threat from elements like VHP and RSS."
