Roman-era mosaic of pets named 'Emerald' and 'Ocean' discovered in Turkey

Researchers digging at the historic site of Adramytteion in Turkey have unearthed a mosaic floor within a Roman villa. The vibrant artwork displays more than 12 animals, both real and mythological, including a cat labeled 'Emerald' and a dog called 'Ocean'. Experts believe these depictions may have been a tribute to the cherished pets of the villa's wealthy owner.
