Indian javelin athlete Rohit Yadav, who secured seventh place in the men's final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games with a top effort of 81.56m, acknowledged that he grew overconfident. He explained, "I had this mindset where I wanted to accomplish something that even Neeraj Chopra couldn't manage that day. That specific thought process led me to become a bit too confident." Neeraj Chopra took home the silver medal after recording a throw of 85.83m.
