A team from the University of Alabama has identified a previously unknown 'demon cavefish' inside Bobcat Cave, located under the Redstone Arsenal of the US Army. This new genus of fish lacks eyes, has no pigment, and displays a subtle electric blue hue while alive. Officially named Demogorgonichthys arcanus, the creature possesses traits typically seen in species that inhabit dark, subterranean habitats.
