Researchers discover new 'devil' flower species in Thailand

A team of researchers from Chulalongkorn University and Prince of Songkla University has identified a previously unknown species of leafless plant in Thailand. Located within Thong Pha Phum National Park, the plant features a distinctively dark flower with reddish-orange markings, which experts say resembles a devil. The team collectively decided to name the species "Thismia daemona" to reflect its devilish appearance.
