Research on cockroach milk earns Indian scientists an Ig Nobel Prize

A team of international researchers, which included Indian scientists, has been awarded the Ig Nobel Chemistry Prize for their investigation into cockroach milk. The study revealed that protein crystals found in the milk of viviparous cockroaches contain more than triple the energy density of an equal amount of regular dairy milk. The researchers associated with India who contributed to this work are Sanchari Banerjee, Nitish Sathyanarayanan, Jandhyam Srikanth, and Subramanian Ramaswamy.
