Construction at the White House might have triggered a communication breakdown that left President Trump’s Marine One helicopter just 700 feet below a passenger plane on August 4. Because of the ongoing work, Marine One had to depart from a different spot, which blocked a nearby airport radio receiver from picking up its signal. Consequently, air traffic controllers gave the green light for the passenger jet to take off.
